Preston Lacemakers are a friendly group of people who meet to share their enthusiasm and enjoyment in the art and craft of lace, in all its variations. Our group includes young and old and beginners to experienced. Throughout the year we have talks about and workshops in both lace and other craft techniques. We also promote lace through exhibitions and giving demonstrations.

Next Meeting Saturday 7 January 2017 Church Meadow Crafts

Thanks to Stephen Watson for an entertaining talk and workshop on Origami, given after another splendid Jacob's Join Christmas lunch on 1 December.  For those members who were unable to attend, you can see details of his work and some videos on his website www.foldpaper.co.uk, or click here.

Our next meeting takes place on Saturday, 7 January 2017, when Church Meadow Crafts will bring lace and other supplies along for members and visitors to purchase in the morning and will give a talk after lunch.  A good opportunity to think about your next project and to purchase any threads, fabric and equipment you will need.

Our AGM takes place at the March meeting.  If you have any items that you wish to add to the AGM agenda, could you please give them to Carol Fenlon, preferably at the 7 January meeting but definitely by the end of January 2017.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful 2017.
