Preston Lacemakers are a friendly group of people who meet to share their enthusiasm and enjoyment in the art and craft of lace, in all its variations. Our group includes young and old and beginners to experienced. Throughout the year we have talks about and workshops in both lace and other craft techniques. We also promote lace through exhibitions and giving demonstrations.

Next Meeting: Tatting and Design with their supplies 7 Sept 2019

Thanks to all members for another friendly meeting in August.  We were delighted to see two members who have difficulty attending because of personal commitments and a visitor who is thinking of joining the group.

Congratulations to Dianne, Carole and Deborah, who have been awarded a medal of excellence and the Northumbria Trophy in the Lace Guild Triennial 'Discovery' Exhibition.  Their work is entitled Banks' Endeavours.  Many thanks to them for bringing the trophy and medal to the meeting for fellow members to see.

Tatting and design will be joining us at our meeting on 7 September 2019.  They will be bringing their supplies, so a great opportunity to purchase threads etc.  For those members who have signed up, Barbara will also be providing a tatting workshop.

As always, there will be the opportunity to make your own lace and have a chat with our friendly members.
