Many thanks to Gillian Roberts, of Belladonna and Roses, for a fascinating and entertaining talk about Corsetry at the last meeting. Gillian also brought examples of her beautiful and inspiring work.
At the next meeting, Lisa Moore will give a Needle Felting Workshop. Only members who have booked and selected the kit that they would like to make will be able to participate. If you would like to join in please contact the secretary by emailing prestonlacemakers@yahoo.com or telephoning 01772 339913 as soon as possible.
If members would like to participate in the secret Santa, remember to bring a wrapped gift to the value of £5. The raffle last year, where members wrapped special prizes in Christmas paper, was enjoyed by all. We would, therefore, welcome donations of wrapped prizes from members this year. Remember to bring your own lunch. The committee will provide a non-alcoholic punch and nibbles.
If you are considering visiting this meeting, please contact the secretary beforehand by email or telephone, as detailed above.
Preston Lacemakers are a friendly group of people who meet to share their enthusiasm and enjoyment in the art and craft of lace, in all its variations. Our group includes young and old and beginners to experienced. Throughout the year we have talks about and workshops in both lace and other craft techniques. We also promote lace through exhibitions and giving demonstrations.

Many thanks to members for their positive approach, at our recent EGM, to dealing with a sudden and significant increase in costs. Please note that meetings will now be held until 15:00 instead of 16:00 and that we shall have no meeting in January in the future.
Our next meeting will take place on Saturday, 1 June from 10:00 to 15:00 when we shall be making lace and chatting.
